Falkirk moved top of the William Hill Championship despite being held to a goalless draw by Livingston, who remain the last unbeaten team in the division.

Clear-cut chances were at a premium in a tight first half which saw Liam Sole’s close-range shot saved by Falkirk goalkeeper Nicky Hogarth and Dylan Tait fire narrowly wide at the other end.

The home side did have the ball in the net shortly after the hour mark as Ethan Ross prodded home a cross from Keelan Adams, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Another Adams cross set up Aidan Nesbitt with 13 minutes remaining but his shot from a tight angle was safely gathered by Jerome Prior.
