Serious Co Tyrone crash leads to road closure

A serious road crash in Co Tyrone has led to a road closure on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on the Moylagh Road in Beragh, outside Omagh.

The road has been closed in both directions as the PSNI and other emergency services deal with the crash.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The Moylagh Road in Beragh is closed in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.

“Diversions are in place at Main Street, Beragh and at the junction of the Moylagh Road and the Curr Road.”

Meanwhile, police have appealed for information after a man was left in a critical condition following a crash in Omagh on Sunday.

“Police attended the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a van on the Drumnakilly Road, Omagh shortly before 8.40pm yesterday evening, Sunday 22nd December,” the PSNI said.

“Officers along with other emergency services attended and two men were taken to hospital for treatment. One of the men, the driver of the van, is currently described as being in a critical condition. The road, which was closed for a number of hours has since reopened.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1390 22/12/24.”
