Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Co Tyrone.

The two-vehicle collision happened on the A29 near Dungannon on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service said three emergency crews and the Charity Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, three patients were taken by ambulance to Craigavon Area Hospital,” they said.

The road remained closed on Sunday evening, with a PSNI spokesperson saying diversions were in place for traffic travelling between Dungannon and Cookstown.



“The road is anticipated to be closed for some time. Please do not attempt to bypass road closure points,” they said.
