Residents ‘badly shaken’ after masked men arrive at door with gun

Residents have been left ‘badly shaken’ after two masked men called to their property in east Belfast and pointed a gun at one of them on Thursday evening.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm in the Channing Street area.

Police say the victim was able to push the men away before they contacted the police.

“At approximately 9.30pm, a report was received that two masked men called to a property in the Channing Street area and pointed a gun at the resident,” a police spokesperson said.

“The victim was able to push the men away before calling police.

“Luckily no one was hurt but the residents have been left badly shaken by their ordeal.”
