Man arrested on suspicion of voyeurism at Belfast hospital

A man has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism following a report of a sexual offence at a hospital in Belfast.

It is believed the incident occurred at the Mater Hospital on the Crumlin Road in the past week.

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust said it was aware of an incident and the PSNI has confirmed it is investigating the matter.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police arrested a man aged in his 40s in north Belfast on Thursday, October 3, on suspicion of voyeurism following a report of a sexual offence that had occurred at premises in the Crumlin Road area.



“The man was interviewed and subsequently released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.”

A Belfast Trust spokesperson added: “Belfast Trust are aware of an incident. The PSNI are investigating.”
