A 32-year-old man was arrested and questioned by police investigating the murder of Dublin gangland suspect Robbie Lawlor in north Belfast.
The man was arrested in Liverpool by Merseyside Police and was taken to Northern Ireland for questioning by the PSNI.
He was released on bail on Friday evening pending further police inquiries.
Mr Lawlor, 36 and from the Coolock area in Dublin, was shot dead outside a house in Etna Drive in north Belfast’s Ardoyne area in April 2020.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning.”
Two men, Patrick Teer (48) and Adrian Holland (40), appeared before Belfast Crown Court in January, charged with murdering Mr Lawlor.
The pair have denied the charges and were released on continuing bail.
