A PSNI spokesperson said motorists should avoid the area.
Some road closures remain in place due to fallen trees and electricity poles in the aftermath of Storm Darragh at the weekend.
In Carrickfergus, West Street is closed to pedestrians and traffic after the fire service declared a derelict building unsafe.
The Shanco Road in Clogher is also closed due to a fallen tree.
Meanwhile, traffic signals on the New Forge Road in Magheralin at the narrow bridge on the Bank Road in Larne are not working due to power cuts.
Motorists have been advised to approach with caution and be prepared to stop and give way until these are repaired.
