Woman dies 10 days after Galway crash

A woman aged in her 30s has died 10 days after a crash in Galway city.

Gardai say they are investigating the single-car crash which occurred shortly before 7am on March 15.

They said the car crashed into a wall and entered the water in the Menlo area.

A female front-seat passenger, aged in her 30s, was taken to University Hospital Galway in a critical condition.

She was pronounced deceased on Monday.

The driver, a man in his 40s, was also taken to hospital at the time.



The road was closed for a time and a technical examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators was conducted.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
