Workers at Collins Aerospace have voted to end a pay dispute at the Co Down aircraft seat manufacturer.

The union Unite said its members at the Kilkeel factory had backed an improved pay offer worth 10% over 28 months.

Unite members took to the picket line last Friday over pay conditions.

Five further days of strikes were planned by Unite commencing at midnight on Thursday, running until October 7.

Unite confirmed an improved offer was made by management in negotiations on Wednesday.

The union said workers had voted to accept the deal, which will see them receive a 5% pay increase backdated to the beginning of March 2025.

A second increase of 4.2% will come into effect at the beginning of March 2026, with a further 0.8% effective from December 2026.

“The Collins Aerospace workers have voted decisively to end their pay dispute,” said regional officer, Neil Moore.

“They return to their workplace having secured the pay deal they needed and having won respect from their employer.”
