The north’s newest five-star hotel, the £16.5 million Dunluce Lodge in Portrush, has revealed details of its suites and exclusive spa ahead of its opening in February.
Located on the edge of the fourth fairway at the world famous Royal Portrush links course, Dunluce Lodge will be operated by hotel management company Valor Hospitality Partners in partnership with the US based owners Links Collection.
It will offer 35 suites, with a sumptuous eight-suite private Stookan lodge for larger parties, with daily room rates ranging from £379 to £629.
But pre- and post-Open week in July, guests can expect to pay in the region of £1,200 a night.
The 279 sq ft Garden Suite rooms, which draw inspiration from the beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens and woodland setting, start at £379 per night (for two guests), while the Courtyard Suite, situated around the hotel’s central courtyard, can be booked from £429.
The 258 sq ft super king Causeway Suites, nestled against the backdrop of the world-famous Causeway Coastal route and tree-lined estate, will set guests back from £479 a night, while prices in the 333 sq ft Portrush Suite, where each room presents views over the Royal Portrush course and rugged Antrim Coastline, start at £454.
The 505 sq ft super king Dunluce Suites are the largest at the venue, providing guests with a sense of occasion and luxury with contemporary open-plan living, each with stunning views of the 4th fairway at Royal Portrush Golf Course. You can book from £629 a night for two people.
Dunluce Lodge has been built specifically to capitalise on the success of golf on the north coast, and particularly The Open this July.
The 2016 Open in Portrush was the biggest sporting event ever held in Northern Ireland, attracting 238,000 spectators and delivering a combined economic and media benefit of more than £100 million.
Meanwhile the new spa at Dunluce Lodge is pledging to offer a dynamic treatment and wellness menu designed to restore balance to the body, skin, and psyche.
Members of the public and guests can relax in four treatment rooms with names that have been inspired by the natural landscape of the Causeway Coast.
Dunluce Lodge has partnered with Irish science-based health and beauty brand Seabody, which harnesses bioactive compounds from seaweed to support skin health and holistic wellness.
Treatments featuring globally recognised brands KLORIS, with its ethically sourced CBD, and the multi-award-winning skincare brand Natura Bissé will also be available.
Outside of the spa’s walls, guests staying at Dunluce Lodge will also be able to enjoy a selection of specially curated wellness experiences including sound healing, sunrise and sunset beach walks and personalised private and group movement sessions.
The venue’s general manager Stephen Meldrum said: “When Dunluce Lodge opens its doors, it will deliver an unrivalled, refined experience that builds on Northern Ireland’s world-renowned reputation for sincere hospitality.
“This hotel is intrinsically linked to its surroundings and our spa is no different. It will feature the best in Irish health and beauty products, treatments and highly skilled local practitioners.”
