Armagh 1-20 Roscommon 1-10
ARMAGH will get another shot at Tipperary – who beat them comfortably last weekend – in the semi-finals after victory over Roscommon in Clane.
There were three points each registered in the opening quarter before Hazel Kelly rocked Armagh in the 19th minute with a goal following a long ball down the centre.
However, the Orchard ladies responded with the next five points, three from Rachael Merry and one each from Ciara Geoghegan and Niamh Forker, to take control and they went on to lead 0-11 to 1-4 at half-time.
In the early stages of the second half, Forker hit two points, with Hazel Kelly responding with Roscommon’s fourth point before a 37th-minute goal from Jenny Curry put Armagh into an unassailable lead of 1-13 to 1-5.
Although Kelly responded with a point, Armagh added three more in quick succession from O’Leary, Merry and Geoghegan before Roscommon took advantage of a lull in Armagh scoring over the next 10 minutes to narrow the gap with three points of their own.
However, the winners finished strongly with four unanswered points from the Donnelly sisters, three for Ciara and one from midfielder Leanne. They could even afford a late penalty miss and still win well.

Cavan 1-18 Tyrone 0-11
CAVAN continued their recent good form with a third victory over three weekends when they came out on top in the Ulster derby with Tyrone in Clane.
However, their progress came at a price. The game was held up for over 40 minutes just a few minutes before the break after a collision between Tyrone forward Róisín O’Neill-McKee and Cavan goalkeeper Michelle Ellis, with the latter taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
Cavan got off to a terrific start with Christine O’Reilly hitting the net in their first attack and they went on to lead by 1-5 before Tyrone got on the scoreboard after 12 minutes.
O’Neill-McKee opened the Tyrone account and they soon had a foothold in the game with three points from Róisín McErlean and two from Cara Little.
Cavan, though, responded with points from Eimear Brady and O’Reilly before the lengthy stoppage and there was just one point during the remaining four minutes up to the interval, with Cavan 1-7 to 0-7 ahead, although the referee bizarrely changed the scoreboard to 1-8 to 0-6!
For the third quarter, the teams exchanged four points each, with Róisín McErlean scoring three for Tyrone and captain Shanise Fitzsimons claiming two for Cavan.
However, the Breffni ladies sealed a semi-final against Laois with five of the last six points, including two for Niamh Keenaghan.
In the end it was a comfortable win for Cavan, although the official score was a 10-point victory instead of eight.
