Ulster University will host DCU at Kingspan Breffini in their Sigerson Cup semi-final as the holders look to secure back-to-back titles for the first time since 1986-87.

After their two-point semi-final win at Jordanstown against Maynooth, Ulster University now stands alone as the only non-Dublin institution left in the All-Ireland Universities competition.

UCD, DCU and TUD make up the rest of the semi-finalists this year, with ‘Ireland’s Hope' facing UU in the hope of upsetting the odds and knocking the holders off their perch.

The two sides will meet in Cavan on Thursday, February 6 at 8pm.

Last year’s beaten finalists, UCD, will be keeping a weather eye on the other semi-final as they have already faced, and beaten, DCU this year, coming out one-point victors at Belfield in the second round.

UCD will play cross-city rivals TU Dublin at NGDC Abbotstown next Thursday, with an earlier throw-in time at 6.30pm.
