THE first full trailer for the award-winning Kneecap movie has been released ahead of the film’s British premiere at the Sundance Film Festival: London this evening.

Band members Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí will be in attendance for the event at the Picturehouse Central cinema in Piccadilly Circus, along with fellow stars Michael Fassbender, Jessica Reynolds, Fionnuala Flaherty and Josie Walker, and director Rich Peppiatt.

Produced by Trevor Birney and Jack Tarling for Fine Point Films and Mother Tongues Films, Kneecap won the NEXT Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival as the first ever Irish language film to premiere at the Utah-based event.

Set in west Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”.
